“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (1 Peter 1:21)

Are you really filled with the Holy Ghost? I’m not asking if, some time ago, you spoke in tongues or still do. I speak not of the tendency by which we seek to experience the ‘thrill’ of God in our lives, evidenced by our emphasis even in how we describe him as Holy GHOST or Holy SPIRIT, rather than HOLY Spirit. In truth we want the experience of the SPIRIT, but we reject his holiness.

Don’t tell me that you’re full of the HOLY Ghost and you’re still mean, petty, dishonest, bad-tempered, greedy, selfish and so on. We have made sanctification into a process really only because we do not want to SURRENDER the self-absorbed and selfish nature with which we were born.

Little children, the world cannot be changed by unchanged men!

Dear children, the lost cannot be delivered by those who have not delivered themselves up to the cross!

Beloved children, two cannot walk together unless they agree. Knowing this, how can we walk with God when we don’t even agree on the direction we’re going?

Jesus said that if any man would follow Him, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and come after him. Something you must understand about that statement is that in those days if you saw a man carrying a cross, no matter if you knew NOTHING else about him, you KNEW for SURE that he WASN’T COMING BACK.

When will you dare to abandon the man you’ve been and the man you are? When will you dare to be emptied of YOU to be full of HIM?
